I’d been looking forward to Nicole & Ben’s wedding for a little while. Not only had I met them the year before at another wedding, and knew they’d be a lovely couple to spend the day with; it was also my first time at The Normans - a stunning wedding venue near York. I love the lights and the ambience of the ceremony room, so much so that we went back a little later for a few indoor portraits!

Apart from a quick shower straight after the ceremony, we had great sunny July weather, with that lovely little bonus of a sunny golden hour; a time that I absolutely love to get some wedding portraits. These two were a dream to photograph; so much fun and willing to jump into a field for sunset photos!

After the high of a Euros quarter final for England (well, not for the Scottish side of Nicole’s family!), the dancefloor was absolutely jumping! They even brought along Jude the dog for a bit of the action (that I later realised was the inspiration behind singer Grace’s rendition of ‘Hey Jude’, and NOT Jude Bellingham!). There were plenty of tears (about 90% of them from Ben’s Dad!) and so much laughter, such a perfect wedding!
